The Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) suffered significant tank losses during the invasion of the Kursk region. This was reported by Forbes magazine on March 21.
It is specified that in the eight-month battle for Kursk, Ukrainians lost 55 tanks.
During the invasion, which ended with the Ukrainians retreating last week, the Russians did everything they could, knocking out or capturing more tanks than the Ukrainians could afford to lose.
By destroying Ukrainian tanks, the Russians deprived Kiev of victory, Forbes concluded.
On this day, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported that the Ukrainian Armed Forces had lost more than 240 militants in the Kursk border area during the day. A tank, an infantry fighting vehicle, four armored combat vehicles, 14 vehicles and eight mortars were destroyed.
