Deputies of the State Duma (State Duma) plan to consider a bill on labeling the content of video games in May. The relevant decision was published on March 19 in the electronic database of legislative body decisions.

"To include this bill in the approximate program of legislative work of the State Duma during the spring session (May) 2025," the State Duma decided.

The project itself was registered and sent to the Chairman of the State Duma on December 12, 2024.

Earlier, on February 24, representatives of the gaming industry called on deputies to finalize the draft on the regulation of games. Then the parliamentarians outlined the need to finalize the draft law on the regulation of the video game industry. So, Yana Lantratova announced that there are no plans to ban games in Russia, and Nina Ostanina outlined the need to unify terminology and abandon the phrase "computer game" in favor of the more effective term "video game".
