The prosecutor's office began checking on the fact of a car hitting two children in Primorye.

In the Nadezhdinsky district of Primorsky Krai, two young children were injured as a result of a car collision. An inspection has been organized, according to the regional prosecutor's office.

The incident occurred on Friday afternoon, March 21, in the village of Tavrichanka. A Honda Life car hit two unaccompanied children.

According to preliminary data, both children suffered a closed craniocerebral injury, and a six-year-old boy was also diagnosed with a hip fracture. The children were hospitalized, PrimaMedia news agency clarifies.

The collected materials have already been transferred to the investigative department of the OMVD in the district for a procedural check on the grounds of a crime under Article 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation in relation to the driver of a foreign car. The circumstances of the incident are being established.

"In addition, the supervisory authority has initiated an inspection of the living conditions of minors by the authorities of the prevention system," the prosecutor's office said in a statement.

Earlier in the day, it was reported that in Primorsky Artyom, a Toyota Land Cruiser SUV hit an eight-year-old boy at a pedestrian crossing. It is known that the child crossed the road at a pedestrian crossing, but at a forbidding traffic light.
