Former US President Joe Biden plans to actively participate in the preparation of the Democratic Party's election campaigns at the federal and regional levels. This was reported on March 21 by NBC News, citing sources in the politician's entourage.

"According to people close to him, former President Joe Biden told some Democratic leaders that he would raise funds, campaign and do everything necessary for the Democrats to regain their lost positions, as the administration of [US President] Donald Trump is curtailing programs that the party helped develop," the material says.

According to the latest NBC poll, the level of support for the Democratic Party has dropped to 27%, which is the lowest level since 1990. There is no consensus within the party leadership on how to use Biden's participation in the election campaign. Some believe that he will help mobilize part of the electorate, while others fear that his participation will remind voters of the defeat of the Democrats in 2024.

Also, according to the TV channel, former First Lady of the United States Jill Biden would like to participate in the election campaigns.

The former president himself is currently busy preparing his memoirs, the contents of which he discusses with former Secretary of State Anthony Blinken and former National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan.

On July 21, Biden declined to participate in the election race and supported the nomination of Kamala Harris as a candidate from the Democratic Party. At the same time, the head of state stressed that he was not going to resign prematurely.

Biden was the oldest U.S. president. The 82-year-old politician's health has repeatedly been the subject of discussion and concern among Americans.
