A woman who tried to kill her two-month-old son with a knife was arrested in Kuban

A court in the Krasnodar Territory, at the request of the investigation, arrested for two months a 32-year-old local woman who tried to kill her two-month-old son with a knife. This was announced on March 21 by the joint press service of the courts of the region.
The woman is accused of committing a crime under Part 3, Article 30, paragraph "b" of Part 2 of Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Attempted crime", "Intentional infliction of death to a minor"). It was established that the child's mother, while at home, stabbed the baby at least seven times in the abdomen.
"The defendant was unable to commit the murder, as her actions were stopped by her father. At the hearing, the accused did not object to satisfying the investigation's request," the department's Telegram channel noted.
The defendant will remain in custody until May 20.
Earlier on March 20, the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Krasnodar Territory reported that in the city of Kurganinsk, a woman stabbed her two-month-old son, trying to kill him. The injured child is under the supervision of doctors in the hospital, he is receiving medical care. A criminal case has been opened into attempted murder.
