The doctor gave advice to Russians with pollen allergy

Russians with pollen allergies should shower more often during the flowering period, wear caps and change their bed linen regularly. Irina Kuptsova, an allergist at the Be Healthy clinic, gave such recommendations on Friday, March 21.
The specialist noted that non-drug methods of combating allergies during this period include following a hypoallergenic diet.
"This is the exclusion of chocolate, sweets, dyes, marinades, smoked products from the diet, as well as the restriction of foods that are difficult to digest and often cause an allergic reaction. These include chicken eggs, milk, and citrus fruits. Cross-allergens should also be excluded from the diet," the allergist said in a conversation with Lenta.Ru .
In addition, Kuptsova also recommended organizing a hypoallergenic lifestyle. So, it is necessary to take a shower and rinse your eyes and nose after walking outside, as well as wear caps and safety glasses to protect against pollen.
"A daily pillowcase change and a change of clothes after a walk are important. If possible, do not open windows at work or at home. In addition, you should avoid taking herbal medicines, as their use inside and topically can lead to an exacerbation of allergies," the doctor warned.
Earlier in the day, experts from the company "Hemotest" and SBER Electronics told Izvestia what is dangerous about spring allergies and how to cope with an exacerbation. In most regions of Russia, the pollen allergy season usually begins in April and May. But this year it started much earlier, according to 360.ru . Due to the small amount of snow and the abnormally warm winter, plant pollen has been detected in the air since the end of February. The main culprits of pollinosis are birch, alder and hazel, experts recalled.
On March 4, Natalia Ilyina, First Vice President and General Director of the Russian Association of Allergologists and Clinical Immunologists (RAAKI), told the Izvestia News Center that a quarter of the Russian population has an allergic disease. At the same time, a significant number of Russians have not been diagnosed with allergies.
