The Ministry of Health plans to closely monitor the sick leave of Russians
The Russian Ministry of Health plans to closely monitor the sick leave of Russians. This was announced on March 21 by the head of the department Mikhail Murashko at a meeting of Rospotrebnadzor.
He noted that 70% of employees open sick leave due to infectious diseases. Murashko stressed the need to solve the problem of the duration of sick leave and reduce their number through affordable measures. Thus, the rate of temporary disability in the country is planned to be reduced by 15% by 2030.
"Another indicator appears in the new national project, which you and I will implement together, is a reduction in the total duration of disability among employees," TASS quoted the head of the Ministry of Health as saying.
On January 4, Doctor of Law, Dean of the HSE Faculty of Law, Professor Vadim Vinogradov said that if a working person falls ill during the New Year holidays, he can also apply for a sick leave at the polyclinic, according to which he will receive the required payments. According to him, the payment depends on the length of service of the employee — the longer he has worked, the more money he will receive for sick leave.
