In Barnaul, a piece of ice fell from the roof onto an eight-year-old girl, and a criminal case has been opened. This was announced on March 21 by the Investigative Department of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation for the Altai Territory.

It is specified that the incident occurred on March 19, when the schoolgirl was passing by the house on German Titov Street. Doctors recorded the child's head contusions.

"A criminal case has been opened on the grounds of a crime under Part 1 of Article 238 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation ("Performing work that does not meet the requirements for the safety of life or health of consumers")," noted the Telegram channel of the SU IC of Russia for the region.

The causes and circumstances of the incident are being investigated by investigators. They identify an employee of the management company, whose duties include issues related to the proper maintenance of the roof of the house, the department added.

Earlier, on March 3, it was reported that a block of ice fell on the head of a woman with a child from the roof of a building in Makhachkala. Doctors diagnosed the victim with an open traumatic brain injury with head wounds. The woman was urgently hospitalized.
