"Inclusive starts" were held in Moscow

On March 21, the Yantar Sports complex hosted the Inclusive Starts sports competition in Moscow, where participants, children with Down syndrome, proved by their example that even the most difficult diagnosis is not a verdict.
About 300 people took part in the starts, including young athletes, parents, coaches and mentors from 13 regions of Russia. Swims for different distances were organized for children. They could go through the most difficult ones with the support of their parents. Olga Slutsker, President of the Russian Special Olympics, noted that such tournaments not only strengthen health, but also unite families.
"The main goal of the Russian Special Olympics team is to support and show great respect to parents in whose families children with Down syndrome grow up and are brought up. They fight on equal terms with each other, participate in competitions, and train. Parents are proud," Slutsker said.
On February 17, the organizers of the Igor Drive GARAGE FEST automobile festival in the Leningrad Region, which will be held for the fourth time in 2025, announced that the event is scheduled for July 26-27. On the first day, the "REC Igor Drive 4 Hours" endurance race will take place, as well as the qualifying races of the fifth stage of the RDS Open interregional drift championship. The RDS Open elimination races will be held on Sunday, July 27.
