The charity Easter edition of the Russian Lotto will be held in April

A charity lottery run of the Russian Lotto lottery will be held in April, the press service of Stoloto, the largest distributor of All-Russian state lottery, reported.
As in previous years, 10 rubles from each Easter ticket sold will be sent to the Regional Public Organization for the Support of Social Activities of the Russian Orthodox Church "Mercy".
The raffle will be broadcast on Easter Sunday, April 20.
"The Easter draw is a good and important tradition of the Russian Lotto, which anyone can join. By purchasing a ticket, each participant contributes to the help and support that thousands of people in need will receive again," said the Deputy General Director of the multidisciplinary holding company S8 Capital (which includes Stoloto) Ekaterina Tuton.
Following the results of the two previous Easter editions of the Russian Lotto, which took place in 2023 and 2024, the Orthodox Mercy service allocated more than 105 million rubles for charitable purposes. The funds were used, in particular, for the implementation of more than 120 charitable projects.
Since 2014, all lotteries in Russia have been state—owned, organized by the Ministry of Finance of the Russian Federation and the Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation, and they are conducted under the state supervision of the Federal Tax Service of Russia. State lotteries distributed by Stoloto are a significant source of replenishment of budgets at various levels of the Russian Federation in order to finance socially significant facilities and activities, including activities for the development of physical culture and sports, high-performance sports and the sports reserve training system, thus making a proportionate contribution to improving the quality of life of Russians.
