A Russian tourist has disappeared in the Philippines.

A Russian citizen and five other foreigners are considered missing after contact with the group was lost while climbing Talinis volcano in Negros Oriental Province in the Philippines. This was reported on March 21 by the Philippine News Agency (PNA).
Police in the island state said they were talking about 38-year-old Russian Anton Chernov, three German citizens — men aged 58, 60 and 67, a British man aged 63 and a Canadian. Rescue teams and volunteers went in search of people, and drones were also deployed to detect the group from the air.
It was previously established that the tourists went on a one-day hike on Wednesday morning, March 19, without having the equipment for a long stay in the highlands.
"The search operations led to a trail on which footprints were found, presumably belonging to foreigners. In addition, the motorcycles they were riding to the entry point were still parked in the place where they jumped off," said police Lieutenant Stephen Polinar.
On March 1, rescuers of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation discovered in the mountains of Sochi the body of a skier who disappeared in an avalanche on February 24 after riding outside the equipped trails. The deceased was found with the help of an avalanche device. The man was almost at the bottom edge of the avalanche, under a 2.5-meter thick layer of snow. His body was lifted into a helicopter of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations using an on-board winch.
