The head of the Russian Federal Security Service, Alexander Bortnikov, met with Chinese Minister of Public Security Wang Xiaohong in Beijing. This was reported by Xinhua on March 21.
Chinese Minister of Public Security under the leadership of Chinese President Xi Jinping and Russian President Vladimir Putin, Russian-Chinese relations continue to develop successfully. He stressed China's willingness to support multi-level meetings between law enforcement and security services.
The parties also intend to strengthen cooperation in the fight against terrorism and transnational crime.
"Bortnikov expressed his readiness to resolutely support each other with China and jointly respond to security challenges," the agency said in a statement.
On February 28, Xi Jinping called Russia and China true friends, and their long-standing relations have already been well tempered. He also added that the two countries should continuously improve strategic coordination and practical cooperation.
