Weather conditions allow Moscow motorists to change their winter tires to summer tires after March 25. Anatoly Tsygankov, head of the Russian Hydrometeorological Service's crisis Management department, announced this on Friday, March 21.

"Starting on March 26, the temperature in the capital region will be above zero day and night, so Muscovites will already be able to change their shoes," the forecaster told the Moscow city news agency.

Tsygankov added that cloudy and warm weather had been established in the capital due to high atmospheric pressure.

Earlier in the day, Mikhail Leus, a leading specialist at the Phobos weather center, said that night frosts in the Moscow region would continue until Monday, March 24.

The weather forecaster said that last night in the area of the village of Cherusti the air temperature was minus 3.7 degrees, and the coldest was in Melikhovo — minus 4.3 degrees. In New Moscow, the air temperature dropped to minus 3 degrees, Leus noted.
