- A court in the United States temporarily banned the transfer of confidential citizen data to DOGE

The US Federal Court has temporarily banned the Social Security Service from transferring access to confidential data of American citizens to the US Department of Public Safety (DOGE) of Elon Musk. This was reported on March 20 by the New York Times newspaper with reference to the court's decision.
"A federal judge in Maryland has found that Elon Musk's thorough review of the agency's data systems appears to violate federal privacy laws," the newspaper writes.
The ban applies to documents, including tax documents, but DOGE will be able to receive information anonymized.
According to the New York Times, the measure will be valid for two weeks with the possibility of extension.
Earlier, on March 19, it was reported that the administration of US President Donald Trump is trying to find a solution to reinstate more than 24,000 civil servants who were previously dismissed under the pretext of reducing government spending. It was clarified that officials have already submitted documents and declarations that "detail the efforts of their teams to re-hire dismissed workers in order to comply with court orders."
