Eight new vegetable storages will appear in the Moscow region in the current 2025. Their total volume will amount to almost 35 thousand tons, the press service of the regional headquarters of the state construction supervision reported on Friday, March 21.

The new facilities will improve food security and keep prices on the "borscht set", ensure import substitution of potatoes.

According to the online publication Podmoskovye Segodnya, the construction of warehouses is accompanied by the Construction Assistance Center (CCC) under the government of the region.

Two facilities have already been put into operation in Silver Ponds, where onions, cabbage, carrots and beets will be stored. The agricultural producer Agromir 11 acted as the developer.

Earlier in March, it was reported that a full-cycle fish farm, Shatursky Fish Farm, with a capacity of 220 tons of products per year, would be restored in the Moscow region. The agreement on the implementation of the investment project has already been signed.
