Measles incidence increased among children in Yekaterinburg

An increase in the incidence of measles was recorded in Yekaterinburg. Unvaccinated children are at risk.
According to the regional Ministry of Health, cases of the disease are registered among those who have not previously been vaccinated against measles. All children are being hospitalized, and patients are receiving the necessary medical care, writes <url> news agency. Anti-epidemic measures are being carried out among those who have been in contact with the sick.
Doctors do not deploy additional beds in children's hospitals.
In October, an outbreak of measles occurred in the Perm Region, affecting members of the Roma population who had not been vaccinated against the disease. Many of the patients were wedding guests. Also present at the celebration was a resident of the Sverdlovsk region, who turned out to be the source of the disease.
