The Central Bank of the Russian Federation has kept its key rate at 21% per annum. This was announced on March 21 by the press service of the regulator.
"On March 21, 2025, the Board of Directors of the Bank of Russia decided to keep the key rate at 21.00% per annum," the Bank of Russia said in a statement.
On March 17, Alexey Okhorzin, Deputy President and Chairman of the Board of the Post Bank, said that against the background of slowing inflation and lending, the Central Bank of Russia may consider lowering the key rate as early as April 2025.
