Participants in violent protests against the Tesla Corporation, owned by American entrepreneur Elon Musk, can receive up to 20 years in prison. This was announced on March 21 by US President Donald Trump on his Truth Social network.

"People caught sabotaging Tesla have every chance of going to prison for up to twenty years, and this also applies to [their] sponsors. We are looking for you!", — said Trump.

The statement was made against the backdrop of ongoing protests in the United States against the company, during which there were cases of car fires and attacks on Tesla dealerships.

Elon Musk called the arson of a Tesla in a Las Vegas service center "terrorism." Earlier, on March 8, The Washington Post reported that in the United States, since the inauguration of President Donald Trump, more than a dozen violent or destructive acts have been committed against the facilities of Musk's companies. Tesla store windows, charging stations and vehicles have already been damaged by vandals.
