The calculation of TOS-2 "Tosochka" destroyed the support of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the Red Army direction

The calculation of the heavy flamethrower system TOS-2 "Tosochka" of the group of forces "Center" destroyed the stronghold of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) in the Red Army area of the SVO zone. This was announced on March 21 by the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense.

"After the report of the commander of the patrol, the crew went to the firing position, aimed the installation at the target and, using the fire control system, fired a volley of shells at the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine at a distance of about 12 km," the ministry said.

It is reported that the strike was carried out using thermobaric rockets. At the same time, the correction and control of target damage was carried out in real time by calculations of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs).

"Since the system is automatic, everything is done via a computer. And it is guided, respectively, also in automatic mode. All we have to do is enter the data and shoot. In terms of accuracy, the machine is not inferior to artillery," said Nikita Kovalev, the system's gunner.

A day earlier, the Russian army attacked a military echelon with ammunition and weapons of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. In addition, air defense systems shot down five JDAM guided aerial bombs and a US-made HIMARS multiple rocket launcher, as well as 225 aircraft-type unmanned aerial vehicles.
