Employees of the Investigative Committee (IC) of Russia in the Primorsky Territory have established the circumstances of the murder of an elderly woman in 2010. This was announced on March 21 by the press service of the department in the Telegram channel.

"The investigative authorities of the Investigative Committee of the Primorsky Territory have established the circumstances of the murder of a 74-year-old woman in an apartment building on Kutuzov Street in Vladivostok (Article 105 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation). A 37-year—old resident of the city was detained on suspicion of committing a crime," the Investigative Committee said.

It was established that the suspect entered the pensioner's apartment under false pretenses in order to kill the woman and steal the money he needed to buy drugs from the apartment. However, the attacker did not find the money, so he was forced to remove the gold jewelry from the corpse.

After committing the crime, he immediately fell into the circle of suspects, but provided an alibi. As it turned out years later, this alibi was confirmed by a person close to the person involved in the case at his own request.

Currently, operational support in the criminal case is provided by employees of the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the Primorsky Territory.

"The TFR investigators have decided on the need to choose a preventive measure in the form of detention in relation to the accused, and a corresponding petition has been sent to the court," the law enforcement officers said.

On January 29, investigators detained suspects in a 30-year-old murder case in Primorye. It is specified that in the summer of 1995, the body of a 21-year-old man with gunshot wounds was found in Vladivostok. Two of his acquaintances became suspects in the murder, but they fled from Primorsky Krai and thus escaped responsibility.
