Residents of the liberated village of Sudzha in the Kursk region told details about life under the occupation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) and the consequences of attacks by Ukrainian militants.

"Now the village is returning to peaceful life. His center was particularly affected. We can see that there are broken windows everywhere. Even the local temple was damaged," Natalia Grafchikova, a correspondent for Izvestia, told about the state of Sudzha after the occupation of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

A local resident showed the basement in which she hid during the shelling of enemy drones. In addition to benches and flashlights, the woman stocked up with a sledgehammer to punch her way out when the entrance walls of the basement collapsed.

Another local resident pointed out the consequences of the arrival of the Baba Yaga drone. As a result of the APU attack, the woman lost not only the integrity of the barn, but also the car.

"It was at night. She [Baba Yaga] flew here. I fired everything I could," a local resident shared her memories.

The city of Sudzha was under the control of the Ukrainian Armed Forces for 218 days and was liberated on March 12. Currently, the city continues to suffer from attacks by Ukrainian drones. Nevertheless, active fighting continues to take place just a few kilometers from the city.
