Motorists have put in a record number of Tesla cars amid protests against the company that are taking place in Canada, North America and Europe due to the policies of US President Donald Trump and Tesla owner Elon Musk as head of the Department of State Efficiency (DOGE). This was reported on Thursday, March 20, by the Reuters news agency, citing Edmunds data.

"2017 or newer Tesla car models accounted for 1.4% of all vehicles sold before March 15, compared with 0.4% in March last year," the publication says.

At the same time, Edmunds analysts say that this share may increase in the second half of the month. In February, this figure was 1.2%.

The agency writes that owners of Musk's cars from the United States and Europe are actively demonstrating on social networks how they refuse Tesla products.

Earlier that day, it was reported that the organizers of the international auto show in Vancouver, Canada, excluded Tesla from the list of participants, although the brand's electric cars were already in the showroom. Eric Nicholl, executive director of the car dealership, stressed that the automaker "was given several opportunities to voluntarily withdraw from participation."

On March 18, Elon Musk commented on the arson attacks on Tesla cars at a service center in Las Vegas, calling it terrorism. Prior to that, it became known that Elon Musk's fortune had decreased by $110.8 billion since December last year amid a decline in Tesla's shares in the production of electric vehicles.
