Senior Lieutenant Arman Gusmanov commanded the tank crew as part of the armored group and participated in the defense during the attack of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). On Friday, March 21, the Russian Defense Ministry told about the exploits of the Russian army soldiers in the area of the special military operation (SVO).
During the battle, Gusmanov's crew managed to eliminate more than 20 Ukrainian servicemen, which significantly reduced the offensive capabilities of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. During the battle, the tank was damaged and stopped after being hit by a kamikaze drone. However, Gusmanov, despite the danger of a repeat attack, used up his ammunition, repaired the equipment on his own and brought the tank under his own power to the evacuation area.
The Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation also noted the professionalism of Private Grigory Levchenko, who carried out the installation of mine-explosive barriers, as well as performed tasks for the fortification of positions of Russian troops.
Levchenko, together with an engineering and sapper group, mined amphibious dangerous areas and tank-hazardous areas for three hours in a given area, and also equipped anti-tank and anti-personnel minefields. During this time, the Ukrainian Armed Forces gunners and Ukrainian drones tried to attack them. Despite the threat, Levchenko and his group completed the mining of the tracks, which later made it possible to stop the Ukrainian Armed Forces and prevent the enemy from breaking through the defenses.
Earlier, on March 20, the Ministry of Defense reported that Senior Lieutenant Dmitry Galitsky commanded an assault unit and was tasked with capturing an AFU stronghold. Galitsky was wounded during the battle, but returned to help the stormtroopers immediately after receiving medical attention. As a result, the stronghold came under the control of the Russian army.
