The Estonian authorities continue to increase spending on strengthening the country's military potential, the Russian Embassy in Tallinn told Izvestia.

"This is happening, among other things, due to an increase in the tax burden on the population. Among other things, the reconstruction of the existing NATO infrastructure has been carried out in recent years," they noted.

In particular, in November 2024, repair work was completed at the Emari airbase: the runway surface was updated, and the military reception facilities were expanded through the construction of new barracks and a food hall.

In general, diplomats state that Estonians are losing interest in the topic, although small but regular protest rallies remain in front of the Russian Embassy building.
