The remains of church bells were removed from the destroyed temple of the women's colony IK-11 Malaya Lokni in the Sudzhansky district of the Kursk region. The Kursk priest Alexander Zinchenko told Izvestia about this on March 20.

According to the priest, there were two temples in Malaya Lokna.: for the parishioners of the settlement and for female prisoners. The first was razed to the ground, while the second was severely damaged in August by direct fire from the Bradley of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU).

"The destruction is beyond measure," Father Alexander commented.

The remains of the bells from this and other affected churches may soon be sent to the Moscow Bell Workshop for refilling.

"It is important to take out the remaining icons and the remains of the bells. So that they would not be looted and desecrated," the priest explained.

The priest also said that churches in other settlements of the liberated border area had been inspected.

"The temple was destroyed in the Cellars. It has been partially preserved in the Cossack Chapel, including thanks to a local Cossack and a sexton," he said.

On March 13, the Russian military told how they liberated the village of Malaya Loknya in the Kursk region.
