On March 21, Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov celebrates his 75th birthday. Famous Russian cultural, sports and scientific figures congratulated the diplomat by reading his famous poem "Embassy Order".

"But the diplomat was looking for the only right word and could not back down — Moscow was standing behind him," Vladimir Solovyov, a journalist, radio and television presenter, read out the lines of the poem.

Lavrov began writing poetry while still a student. In 2004, his works were included in a poetry collection published to mark the 60th anniversary of the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (MGIMO).

As for the "Embassy Order," the Russian Foreign Minister wrote it in 2004. The poem became widely known not only in Russia, but also abroad. In 2016, for this work, Lavrov became the winner of the national award "Imperial Culture", receiving an award in the nomination "Events. Exploits. People."

On March 21, Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov celebrates his 75th birthday. Lavrov became the head of Russian diplomacy in March 2004 and has been continuously leading or, as journalists like to say, patronizing Russian diplomacy ever since. The only person who held this position longer than him was Andrei Gromyko (in 1957-1985 — 28 years), who was responsible for both the Caribbean crisis and the first disarmament treaties. Under him, the current Russian Foreign Minister began his diplomatic career as an attache at the USSR Embassy in Sri Lanka.
