Syrian leader al-Sharaa denied Berbok a handshake again

The new Syrian leader, Ahmed al-Sharaa, again refused to shake hands with German Foreign Minister Annalena Burbock. This was announced on March 20 by the NTV channel.
"During her second visit to Damascus, Foreign Minister Annalena Berbok was also not greeted by a handshake from the transitional president of Syria," they noted.
It is specified that the German Foreign Minister arrived in Damascus together with Armin Laschet, a member of the Bundestag from the Christian Democratic Union (CDU) party. According to the newspaper, the head of the Syrian administration did not greet him with a handshake either.
However, Syrian Foreign Minister Asaad Hassan al-Shibani shook Berbok's hand while receiving guests at the entrance to the presidential palace.
The newspaper Die Welt reported on January 3 that representatives of the Syrian administration refused to shake hands with Berbok, who, along with her French counterpart Jean-Noel Barraud, arrived on an unannounced visit to the Arab republic.
In the footage published by the publication, you can see that Berbok is approaching the delegation of the Syrian administration. At the same time, both Syrian politicians put their hand to their hearts, making it clear that they were not going to shake hands with the German Foreign Minister. Immediately after that, a man from the German delegation approaches them, to whom the representatives of the SAR themselves extend their hands to shake hands.
