A digital technology school will be opened for residents of the Lipetsk region

The campus of Sbera School 21, which trains IT professionals, has opened in Lipetsk. The opening ceremony was attended by German Gref, President of Sberbank, and Igor Artamonov, Governor of the Lipetsk Region.
Gref recalled that this is the 16th "School 21". "One of the basic features of our "School 21" is the free tuition. There are no barriers so that talented children from the most remote settlements can come and receive the best education in the world here. We have no age restrictions either, as the oldest student in Lipetsk is 58 years old. School 21 trains unique specialists in a wide range of fields, which we continue to expand.",— said the President of Sberbank.
The School 21 campus is located in a historic building on Zegel Street, which is recognized as a cultural heritage site of regional significance. At the opening, the guests were greeted by a digital assistant who spoke about the training program, the campus and the history of the building, and also became a co-host of the ceremony.
Artamonov noted that much has already been done in the region to develop primary IT education in the region. "We have a whole network of IT cubes, IT bits, Quantoriums, as well as a strong system of secondary technical education. But we don't stop there. School 21 is one of the top IT institutions in the country and the world. It is free, accessible to everyone and focused on the demands of developing industries. This means that graduates are guaranteed employment," the governor said.
"School 21" in Lipetsk is designed for 202 workstations. 75% of Lipetsk residents, as well as residents of Voronezh, Ryazan, Leningrad, and Tambov regions, are willing to study here. After the qualifying stage, participants move on to basic training, where they will choose a development direction — backend, frontend, mobile development, or GameDev. There are others in School 21.
Programs: cybersecurity, Data Science, system and business analysis, DevOps and ensuring smooth operation of highly loaded services, as well as software testing (QA).
