Livo repeated Mozyakin's record for goals in one KHL regular season

Canadian Salavat Yulaev hockey player Joshua Livo repeated Sergey Mozyakin's record for goals in one regular season of the Kontinental Hockey League (KHL) in a match with Siberia. The meeting of the teams took place in Novosibirsk on March 20 and ended with a score of 3:1 in favor of Ufa.
Livo scored the team's second goal in the 37th minute of the game. This goal was his 48th in the current regular season, thus equaling Mozyakin's record score in the 2016/17 season.
In addition to Livo, Yaroslav Tsulygin (25th minute) and Canadian Sheldon Rempal (60th minute) scored goals for Salavat. Timur Akhiyarov scored for the losers (23rd minute).
Salavat Yulaev ranks second in the KHL Eastern Conference with 91 points in 67 games. With one game left in the season, Ufa will no longer be able to catch up with Traktor Chelyabinsk, which secured first place in the East two days earlier. Sibir occupies the 8th place in the Eastern Conference.
Earlier, on March 17, Lokomotiv Yaroslavl won the KHL regular season for the first time in its history. The club registered an early victory, scoring 98 points in 66 matches.
On the same day, all the KHL teams that will participate in the 2025 Gagarin Cup were determined. Traktor, Salavat Yulaev, Metallurg, Avtomobilist, Ak Bars, Avangard, Admiral and Sibir will join the decisive games from the Eastern Conference clubs. The Western Conference will be represented by Lokomotiv, Dynamo Moscow, Spartak, CSKA, Dinamo Minsk, SKA, Severstal and Torpedo.
