On March 11, an expedition group of nine people was trapped by an avalanche on Mount Aragats in Armenia. Eight tourists managed to get out on their own, one disappeared.

Experts remind that avalanches are more likely to occur on treeless slopes. During an avalanche, it is recommended to drop all your belongings and try to hide behind a large rock.
