In the Smolensk region, employees of the Federal Security Service (FSB) detained the head of the Federal Government Institution "Pre-trial Detention Center No. 1". This was reported on March 20 in the press service of the Federal Security Service of Russia for the region.

It was established that the head of the internal service promised to resolve the issue of mitigating the conditions of detention for one of the accused for a monetary reward of 1.2 million rubles.
