The European Union (EU) will continue to hold Russia's frozen assets. This is stated in the final document of the summit of the association, which was signed by 26 of the 27 states of the community.

It is noted that Russia's assets should remain immobilized until the conflict in Ukraine ends and Moscow compensates for the damage caused to it, RIA Novosti reports.

The document also says that the European Union is ready to increase pressure on Russia, including through further sanctions.

On March 14, Euractiv announced that the European Union intends to create a voluntary fund for military assistance to Ukraine in the amount of €20-40 billion to circumvent Hungary's veto, RT reports. It was specified that each country would contribute to the fund depending on its "economic weight." At the same time, the EU will consider as its contribution €1.9 billion of profits from frozen Russian assets.
