Zakharova pointed to the assistance of Western intelligence services to Ukraine in cybercrimes against the Russian Federation

Western intelligence agencies participated in a hybrid war against Russia and helped Ukraine carry out digital attacks on Russian Internet resources. This was announced on March 20 by the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Maria Zakharova.

"It is no secret that the doctrinal documents of the United States and its allies consider our country as one of the main threats in the information space. The task, as they formulate it, of strategic deterrence of Russia is openly set. We can say with confidence that since the beginning of the special military operation, we are talking about a full-scale anti-Russian campaign using information and communication technologies for military and political purposes," she said at a briefing.

According to her, Ukraine has become a springboard for operations against the Russian Federation in cyberspace. Zakharova clarified that units of Western intelligence services and military departments of NATO member countries are stationed in Kiev and Lviv, which coordinate the actions of the Kiev regime in the digital environment.

The official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry also stressed that in 2022, the administration of former US President Joe Biden sent Pentagon staff to Ukraine to address issues of cyber command and control on digital data and artificial intelligence. Also, as Zakharova notes, specialists who were responsible for managing operations in computer networks, including attacks on Russian Internet resources, were sent to Kiev.
