On March 20, the head of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) Denis Pushilin posthumously awarded the star of the Hero of the DPR to the deputy commander of the 3rd company of the separate airborne assault brigade (ODSHBR) "Veterans" with the call sign Graf.

It is specified that the head of the region presented the award to the widow of a serviceman. Pushilin also posthumously awarded the Order of the Republic to the deputy commander of the 3rd ODSHBR company "Veterans" with the call sign Cap, handing the award to the fighter's parents.

"Our task is to remember their feat, to pass on this example to the next generations," said the head of the DPR.

The commander of the 3rd company of the brigade with the call sign Gorets called the awarded fighters real patriots.

"Decent guys. It would be nice for such children to leave offspring, to raise <... > the way they were themselves. I am sure there would have been a proper upbringing, and there would have been more such patriots," he said.
