The Taste of the Arctic gastronomic festival will be held at IAF-2025

With the support of the Roscongress Foundation, the IV Forum "Russia-Africa: What's Next?" will be held at the MGIMO University of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia from April 22 to 25, 2025. The Forum is a unique platform that promotes the development of fruitful cooperation between Russia and the countries of the African continent, as well as maintaining their open dialogue and equal partnership. The event is aimed at developing a dialogue between the youth of Russia and Africa, popularizing African studies and promoting a positive image of Russia on the continent. The program is expected to involve Russian and African officials, key representatives of the business and expert community, development institutions and the media.
"Russia views Africa as an original, dynamically developing continent of the future, and consistently advocates strengthening its position in the multipolar architecture of the world order, so that the unified and independent voice of Africans can be heard and taken into account in the international arena. We are pleased to note that our African friends have achieved significant success in national development in recent years. In many ways, this has become possible due to the significant involvement of young people in political, economic and humanitarian processes," Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov stressed.
The Youth Forum "Russia-Africa: What's Next?" was first held in the fall of 2021, and today it has become a platform for regular exchange of opinions and experiences. The event brings together representatives of 42 African states and their Russian counterparts, including ministers, diplomats, representatives of business and academia. The organizers of the Forum are actively involved in the preparation of the Russia–Africa Economic and Humanitarian Forum and other events in the Russia–Africa format.
The program of the event includes the disclosure of key aspects of Russian-African cooperation in the format of open discussions, round tables, and creative brainstorming sessions. Sports and cultural events are planned on the fields, which will allow participants to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of Africa, to experience its diversity and flavor.
For the first time, the Forum of Young Diplomats "Russia-Africa" will be held within the framework of the event, implemented with the support of the Council of Young Diplomats of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia.
Registration for the event is open until April 6, 2025.
