Daewoo Matiz turned out to be the most popular used car in Moscow

The Daewoo Matiz subcompact hatchback turned out to be the most popular used car in Moscow in January-February 2025. This is stated in the message of the National Agency for Industrial Information (NAPI), which was received by Izvestia on March 20.
The 2010 Daewoo Matiz was in the greatest demand in the capital and sold 0.2 thousand units, with a share of 0.3%. Four-year-old Toyota Camry, Kia K5, Kia Rio and Mercedes-Benz GLE were among the top five in the capital.
In the Moscow region, the five most in demand cars on the "secondary" market were formed by four-year-old Kia Rio and K5, Lada Samara 2005, six-year-old Kia Optima and four-year-old Hyundai Solaris.
In St. Petersburg, there is not a single Russian car in the top 5, as well as in Moscow. The list was formed by Volkswagen Polo (2019), Hyundai Solaris (2018 and 2021), Ford Focus (2008) and another Solaris (2016).
In other regions of Russia, it is best to buy "age-appropriate" Lada Priora and Samara cars. Not a single foreign car entered the top five, and the youngest car in the ranking turned out to be 13 years old.
The day before, it was reported that the five-year Kia Rio is most often offered in the secondary car market of Russia at a price of up to 1.5 million rubles. Of the older cars, the six-year-old Renault Duster, the seven-year-old Renault Kaptur and the eight-year-old Toyota Corolla stand out.
On March 13, it became known that in February 2025, prices for used cars at car dealers in Russia increased by 8% compared to January. The average price for a used car in car dealerships reached 2.12 million rubles. At the same time, prices for used cars from private individuals have hardly changed.
