On March 21, the GIM will host a concert for the exhibition "SVOYASI. The Path of modern Russian Art"

In the special concert program for the exhibition "SVOYASI. The Way of modern Russian Art" the performers will turn to the origins of Russian musical culture. Viewers will learn about its genres and stages of development, the historical context of writing and performing works.

The concert program will feature ancient folklore, epic tradition, musical traditions of Veliky Novgorod, the znamenny chant of medieval Russia, lyrical and historical songs of the XVI–XVII centuries, as well as works by Russian composers who turned to ancient Russian music in their work.
