Moldovan oppositionist Nesterovsky has been put on the international wanted list.

Alexander Nesterovsky, a Moldovan oppositionist, MP, and one of the leaders of the Renaissance party, who was sentenced to 12 years in prison, was put on the international wanted list. This was reported on March 20 by the IPN agency.
"This information was confirmed to IPN by the head of the General Inspectorate of Police, Viorel Cerneuceanu," the media website says.
The trial of Nesterovsky took place the day before, on March 19. The prosecutor in Chisinau asked for a sentence of 10 years and nine months in prison for the deputy. Nesterovsky was found guilty of "passive corruption, as well as accepting financing for a political party from an organized criminal group."
"The court session was held in the absence of Nesterovsky. The police were supposed to arrest him and take him to prison to serve his sentence. However, the deputy could not be found," the agency adds.
On February 26, Marina Tauber, a member of the Moldovan parliament and vice chairman of the Pobeda bloc of opposition parties, sent an appeal to the leader of the US Department of Public Efficiency (DOGE), businessman Ilon Mask, asking him to disclose who in the republic received funds from the US Agency for International Development (USAID).
Tauber said that she and other members of the opposition are concerned about the fact that tens of millions of dollars have been flowing into the country for years.
