On March 20, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree under which Ukrainian citizens who are illegally in the Russian Federation must leave the country by September 10, 2025. The document was posted on the portal for the publication of legal acts.

At the same time, holders of Ukrainian passports still have the opportunity to stay if they settle their situation within the specified period.
