- The Russian Ambassador positively assessed the agreement between Izvestia and Al Mayadeen

On March 20, Russian Ambassador to Lebanon Alexander Rudakov called the agreement on cooperation between the Izvestia Multimedia Information Center (MIC) and the Lebanese media network Al Mayadeen "a very useful event."
According to Rudakov, any interaction in the field of journalism and information exchange is very important because it opens up opportunities to influence the peoples of both countries.
"Given the information we provide, and the information provided by the Al Mayadeen channel, and their slogan or main driving force, "Reality above all," this is certainly a very useful event for our country, for the Izvestia holding company, and for the Al Mayadeen channel itself." The ambassador told Izvestia correspondent Viktor Sineok.
Earlier that day, Izvestia International Media Center signed a cooperation agreement with one of the leading media outlets in the Middle East region, Al Mayadeen. The document was signed by Vladimir Tyulin, General Director of Izvestia News Center, and Ghassan ben Djiddo, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Al Mayadeen.
As part of the ceremony, MITZ presented Al Mayadeen with the issues of the Izvestia newspaper dated November 10 (in the old way), 1917, where the Sykes-Picot Agreement on the division of the Asian possessions of the Ottoman Empire was published, and on August 5, 1944, where a message on the establishment of diplomatic relations between the USSR and the Lebanese Republic was published..
