- The Accounting Chamber will direct efforts to achieve technological sovereignty of the Russian Federation

In 2025, the Accounting Chamber of the Russian Federation will continue to analyze the issues of Russia's achievement of technological sovereignty. This was announced on March 20 by the chairman of the Joint Venture Boris Kovalchuk.
He said that in 2024, serious attention was also paid to the modernization of the Russian economy and reducing dependence on imports.
"The measures taken to support the development of the machine tool industry have been analyzed, and the procurement activities of Rostec State Corporation and its subsidiaries have been audited for compliance with the goals of achieving technological sovereignty," he said at a plenary session of the State Duma.
According to Kovalchuk, the effectiveness of spending funds aimed at maintaining the GLONASS system was also assessed.
In addition, experts conducted an audit of state support for the production of export-oriented high-tech products. As a result of these events, recommendations were made to improve the efficiency of spending budget resources allocated to support the manufacturing industry, the space industry, high-tech industries and exports, said the Chairman of the Accounting Chamber.
In addition, Kovalchuk drew attention to the fact that as part of the audit of scientific and innovation policy, experts analyzed the effectiveness of using funds aimed at scientific and technological development of the country.
On February 11, Russian President Vladimir Putin said that it was necessary to fully exploit Russia's unique potential in the nuclear industry to modernize the economy. According to him, this will contribute to ensuring the country's defense capability and energy security, as well as training modern qualified personnel.
