The Kremlin told about the discussions on the candidacy of a negotiator from the Russian Federation with the United States

Moscow has not yet chosen a chief negotiator with Washington, who will represent the Russian side at the talks in Jeddah on March 23, but this topic is under discussion. This was announced on March 20 by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov.

This issue was partially raised during the recent talks between Russian President Vladimir Putin and American leader Donald Trump.

"They (Putin and Trump. We talked about who could represent the countries in such negotiations, and this topic was indeed mentioned. And yesterday, this was also discussed during a telephone conversation between [Assistant to the President of the Russian Federation] Yuri Ushakov and his colleague, Mr. Waltz," Peskov said during a briefing.
