President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky did not respond to a call from French leader Emmanuel Macron, who sounded during a briefing with journalists, and promised to call back later, the Ukrainian agency UNIAN reported on Thursday, March 20.

"During an online briefing with journalists, Zelensky received a call from Macron. The president replied that he was currently communicating with the media and promised to call him back in 15-20 minutes," the agency's Telegram channel says.

Zelensky later clarified that in recent weeks he has been calling Macron very often, usually once a day, adding "Газета.Ru ".

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer announced on March 15 that Western military personnel would gather in the UK on March 20 to develop practical plans to support the future security of Ukraine by Western soldiers. At the same time, Macron stated that European states could send their military contingent to Ukraine and deploy it, in particular, in Kiev, Lviv and Odessa.

On March 6, Macron noted that he was ready for dialogue with Russian President Vladimir Putin, but only when the right moment came, and only with the consent of his Ukrainian counterpart Zelensky.
