The European Commission (EC) has transferred to Ukraine the next tranche of €1 billion in macro-financial assistance under the current program. The corresponding statement was published on March 20.
"Today, the European Commission has allocated to Ukraine an additional tranche in the amount of €1 billion of a macro-financial assistance loan, which will be repaid using funds from income from immobilized Russian state assets in the EU," the document says.
