Flood and fire control exercises were held in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District

The level of training of rescuers for the flood and fire season was checked in the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District. Operational staff exercises were held in two settlements, the press service of the Department of Civil Protection of the region reported on Thursday, March 20.

Rescuers worked out the elimination of the consequences of flooding in the village of Novy Urengoy and extinguishing a natural fire in the village of Pelvozh. Both settlements are at risk of natural disasters, so they were chosen for the training.

Similar exercises were also held in all municipalities of the district, writes the news agency " <url>". The entire Yamal emergency management system was involved in them.

Earlier in March, it was reported that the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous District began to introduce restrictions on carrying capacity at ice crossings. This is due to the onset of warming.
