The Russian Sollers SUV will be available in early 2026.


The Sollers company intends to launch a new SUV in early 2026. It is planned to invest more than 4 billion rubles in the launch of the project. This was stated by Mikhail Guryanov, head of the Sollers Product development center, the press service of the Ulyanovsk Automobile Plant reports.
"We have accelerated road tests planned ahead, according to the results of which constructive improvements of the car are possible. At the same time, active preparations are underway for production at our industrial site in Ulyanovsk," Guryanov said.
The appearance of the car (interior and exterior) has already been approved. Sollers specialists have developed a unique interior for the SUV, which takes into account the wishes and needs of the Russian client. The engine has already been calibrated to use Russian fuel and lubricants. The SUV was originally designed for operating conditions on Russian roads and taking into account road and climatic features, he added.
As Alexey Spirin, CEO of UAZ, previously told Izvestia, the frame SUV under the Sollers brand was developed by Sollers specialists based on a pickup truck. The car will receive a two-liter turbo engine with a capacity of 200 hp in conjunction with an eight-speed automatic, the interior is designed for seven people, including the driver.
On March 18, it was reported that the Chinese company GAC intends to launch production of cars in Russia. Pavel Nikiforov, Head of Sales Development at GAC Motor Russia, told Izvestia that the company is negotiating with a number of local manufacturers and is currently discussing the site.
