The mayor of Moscow shared plans for the modernization of schools

About 50 metropolitan schools will be put in order this year, said Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin.

"More than 35,000 children will study in modern, comfortable and high—tech classrooms," he wrote on Telegram.

Sobyanin recalled that in 2024, the implementation of the large-scale My School program began, under which it is planned to modernize up to 100 buildings per year.

In parallel, the construction of new educational institutions is underway. So, in the coming years, five "schools of the future" will appear in Presnensky, Meshchansky, Basmanny and Tagansky districts.

On Thursday, March 20, it was reported that at a meeting of the Presidium of the Moscow government, it was decided to continue important projects in the field of education in 2025. Among the priorities are the development of specialized and pre—professional education, the formation of a modern pre-professional environment in high schools; strengthening mathematical and natural science education in schools; modernization of the secondary vocational education system at the request of employers.
