Almost a quarter (23%) of Russians have tried to change their telecom operator over the past two years, while retaining their phone number. This follows on March 20 from the VTsIOM survey data.

It is specified that 60% of the respondents managed to successfully change the operator and save their number, but 5% encountered difficulties in this process. In addition, 10% of the survey participants experienced temporary communication outages. Also, 8% of them reported that they received calls from employees who tried to convince them not to change the operator.

According to VTsIOM, which is quoted by RIA Novosti, the survey was conducted among 2,000 people over the age of 18.

On January 30, it was reported that the authorities were introducing an all-Russian automatic caller ID for incoming city numbers. The subscriber will see the tag "bank", "useful services" and so on. This will allow you to understand whether the company is calling or a scammer. The Ministry of Finance will make these identification rules mandatory for all telecom operators.
