The authorities of Minusinsk reported a decrease in the water level in the city's river by one meter

The water level in the Minusinsk river, where the earthen embankment ruptured, decreased by one meter and twenty centimeters. This was announced by the city administration on Thursday, March 20.

"There is no overflow of water on the bridges, there are gaps under the bridges. Intensive shore filling has been carried out. In the near future, all three bridges will be open to traffic," follows from the publication of the department in Telegram.

It is noted that the main task is to monitor the situation. The equipment is on high alert to take measures as soon as possible, if necessary, the authorities of Minusinsk said.

They added that work on pumping water is continuing.

The day before, on March 19, the prosecutor's office of the region reported that 13 house territories were flooded in Minusinsk. Dmitry Merkulov, the mayor of the city, also said that two bridges were blocked due to the flow of water after the dam burst. After that, he added that in Minusinsk, the water level in the overflowing river stopped rising.
