Flood water moved away from 74 residential buildings in the Ashinsky district of the Chelyabinsk region. At the same time, 21 houses are still flooded, the press service of the Ministry of Public Security of the region reported on May 20.
"As of 07:00 on March 20, 2025, the water receded from 74 residential buildings, 80 garden houses and 195 household plots. Currently, 21 residential buildings, 93 garden houses and 134 household plots remain flooded," the ministry said.
To ensure safety, the Chelyabinsk MSCH attracted 161 specialists and 41 pieces of equipment.
A rise in the water level on the Sima River in the Ashinsky district was reported on March 18. The regional Ministry of Emergency Situations reported that a working group with unmanned aerial vehicles and forces of a specialized fire and rescue unit went to the scene. The flooded areas are located on Matrosova, Embankment, Oktyabrskaya and Zarechnaya streets. Additional hydraulic posts have been installed to monitor the situation. Rescuers and firefighters are present at the scene.
